Alito is one of the Barians who works under Dumon, sent to Yuma's school to assist Girag. Alito was soon in love with Tori Meadows and ends up forming an unlikely friendship and rival with Yuma Tsukumo. Like Girag, he has some changes in attitude after being revived by Vector, who used Don Thousand's power.
Long before, Alito was a utmost warrior to ever exist using just his bare hand in a land that was later to be known as Spartan City. Alito was close friend and rival to the prince of the land. One day, Alito was framed by the people close to the prince and placing him under false charges leading to his execution. He was later reborn as a Barian with no memories of his past life. He then joined up with other Barian Emperors scheming with them to destroy the Astral World. With the two worlds being made of energy, they could not interact directly. To accomplish their agendas, they manipulated humans such as Dr. Faker and Vetrix.

Alito discuss with Dumon, Mizar, and Girag about defeat of both human pawns and Vector at hands of lost to ZEXAL. Alit gets bored saying he's going to do something about it, using a portal to teleport himself out of chamber. To that end, Dumon sends Girag to Earth in order to acquire Yuma's "Number" cards. After Girag's failure, Dumon summons Alito next to the Earth, where he ends up getting a crush on Tori. Alito tries to make various attempts to wow Tori, but all of them are inadvertently thwarted by Yuma. Wanting to prove himself, Alito challenges Yuma to a duel, quickly summoning out his Xyz monster, Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke, and soon realizes who he is up against. Yuma summons his Xyz monster, Gauntlet Launcher, and manages to win by countering Alito's own counters. After the duel, Alito takes a shining to Yuma and declares him his rival.
Alito uses a "Battlin' Boxer" deck, with his ace monster being "Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus". Using "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force", he can upgrade his monster into "Number C105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus".
